Shane Dice Family

Taking the Gospel back to England.

Shane & Jericho both grew up in Christian homes with parents in full time ministry. Shane was saved at the age of eleven, and Jericho was saved at the age of seventeen.

They have been members of Beth Haven Baptist Church since 2014 and have been involved in many different ministries.

In October of 2019, Shane & Jericho went on a missions trip to England. While there, God opened their eyes to the need and burdened their hearts. After the missions trip Shane began to pray, “Here am I Lord, send me” and on August 2, 2020 in the Sunday AM service, God told him, “It is time”. On the way home Shane shared with Jericho what God had spoken to him about. Over the course of a month, they fasted and prayed with Pastor Carter about God’s leading and during that time God gave clear direction and peace to go to England as missionaries.

Reaching Portugal for Christ.

I grew up in a pastor’s home and was saved early in my life at the age of 9 at youth camp in 2007 when I humbled myself before the Lord. Growing up in a “Ministry Home” was difficult. I didn’t have a desire to be in the ministry until I was an adult. Instead, I worked hard on becoming a welder. However, during that time the Lord kept after me and I struggled and had no peace in my life. In 2018, in a missions conference, the Lord made it clear He wanted me to give my life over to His will, and not my own. He wanted me to be a missionary. I surrendered that night to His calling, and from then, I started to pray with my Pastor, and other missionaries that I knew. While I was praying for a place, the Lord gave me a billboard. Driving to work there was a billboard with the name Portugal on it. I figured if there was a billboard in Oklahoma City about Portugal I should probably pray about it. I began to specifically pray for the country of Portugal, and knew that’s where the Lord was calling me.

As part of my training I worked as head of the Children’s ministry, teaching classes, Jr Church, and Wednesday night program, as well as running the bus ministry.

While in Bible college in 2019, my wife, Kiska, and I were married. In 2022, I graduated with my 4 year degree in Missions. Since then, I’ve started my Masters in Biblical counseling and am on target to finish in 2024. Upon my graduation my Pastor moved my wife and I into the College and career ministry where we have been teaching and ministering, working with young Christians in teaching them how to walk with God.

In August of 2023, Kiska and I took a missions survey trip to Portugal where the Lord continued to place on our hearts a love for the mission field of Portugal. We saw the people and became even more burdened for their souls. God has planted our hearts there and we are looking forward to reaching the Portuguese people for the Glory of the God.

Ethan Azwar Family

Reaching Czechia for Christ.

I was privileged to be born into a Christian family. My grandfather and great-grandfather on my mother’s side were both Independent Baptist preachers, and because of their faithfulness, I was blessed to hear the Gospel message from a young age. As a child, I made a false profession of salvation. It was a mental acknowledgment of Christ, void of true repentance. I held on to this false profession for years. God would convict me, yet I would cling to this memory of having prayed a prayer. As I think back, the profession was motivated by seeing others my age getting saved and missing out on the bread served at the Lord’s supper. As time went on, the conviction about my soul’s condition grew. I would rationalize away the conviction and fight against the Holy Spirit working on my heart. I’m so thankful we serve a longsuffering God; On June 7, 2007, I finally humbled myself and admitted I was lost. I called upon the name of the Lord and accepted Christ as my Savior.

As a young teenager, God brought me under conviction about His will for me to serve Him while attending a Bible summer camp in Binger, Oklahoma, with my church. I distinctly remember God calling me into ministry and surrendering to that call during an evening service. While a field or specific direction wasn’t given, I knew that He wanted me to preach. So, I started serving by doing whatever the Lord would allow me to do. Serving on the bus, children’s ministries, choir, and visitation ultimately led to God allowing me to serve on staff for eight years at Beth Haven Baptist Church. In mid-2023, my wife and I started to pray earnestly about calling a family to replace Jon and Emilie Rettig, and we made ourselves available if God so chose to send us. At the beginning of November 2023, God made it apparent to me, through preaching at our Men’s Retreat and confirmed by counsel from my spiritual leadership, that His will for my family was to minister in the Czech Republic. God very rapidly opened doors and provided for us to go on a survey trip, and were able to be in Prague from November 10th – 21st. We were blessed to be able to see the city, meet the church people in the church that the Rettigs planted, preach to the people, and gather information to help in our immigration to the country. During this trip, God increased the assurance and peace that He had already given us when we initially surrendered to go.

A church plant out of Beth Haven Baptist Church, Better Life Baptist Church is located in Watonga, Oklahoma. A long-time member of our church, Bro. Jim Whitcomb, has seen God prepare his life for many years leading up to this call. There is a great need in Watonga as there are no other Bible-preaching, Baptist churches in the surrounding area! He and his wife, Sara, are endeavoring to plant the seeds and see God give the increase. Mrs. Sara was our church secretary for a while and did a wonderful job keeping us organized! We are anticipating great things in their ministry.
